Matt Geronimi
Matt Geronimi chose to pursue dance as a career not long after embarking on a ballroom journey at the age of 8. This journey quickly lead him to winning Australian Junior Champion for Ballroom and Latin and World Representative for Australia for Junior World Latin. He is also trained in jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, modern and ballet. Matt’s credits include Primary Dancer on many Australian Tours with Nikki Webster, danced in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games Opening and Closing ceremonies, 22nd in the world for Youth World Ten Dance and Finalist on channel 2 Strictly Dancing, all before the age of 16. Matt then went on to study full-time Dance at Brent Street. Since then he has been a guest entertainer for Royal Caribbean cruise lines, Top 10 finalist on So You Think You Can Dance. Principal dancer on X Factor 2010, principal dancer in the motion picture Happy Feet 1 & 2, Dancer in Lady Gaga’s Sydney Monster Ball and Dancer and Magician Assistant in the world premier of The Illusionists at the Sydney Opera House from which he then toured with the production throughout Australia and Singapore.

These experiences have allowed Matthew to work with world-renowned choreographers such as Jason Coleman, Jason Gilkinson, Matt Lee, Kelly Abbey and the iconic Wade Robson. In 2013 Matt danced at the NRL Grand Final along side Jessica Mauboy and Ricky Martin, as well as performing in the Australia’s Got Talent Finale. He was also assistant dancer to Juliette Verne for a piece in So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Matthew performed with Chris Horsey in the opening number for the Rob Guest Endowment in 2014. In the June/July school holidays Matthew was a featured ensemble member in Bonnie Lythgoe Productions Snow White; A Winter Musical with Magda Szubanski. Peter Evrett, Kyle Sandilands and many more. 2013 through 2015 saw Matt continuously touring with the Illusionists 2.0 performing in Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, New Zealand, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, Melbourne and Perth. In 2015, Matthew finished touring with The Illusionists 2.0 and later performed in Bonnie Lythgoe’s Pantomime Aladdin and his Wondrous Lamp at the State Theatre, Sydney during the June/July school holidays. Matthew has performed in various corporate events choreographed by Debbie Graham including Industrial Tap and many more. During 2016 & 2017, Matthew was engaged in the role of Featured Ensemble, Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer to Juliette Verne in two Bonnie Lythgoe Productions. These include Cinderella and The Adventures of Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. Matt toured to the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne in The Adventures of Peter Pan and Tinkerbell as Pirate Hoo, Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer.
